What is the Joseph William Yee Eu Foundation (JWYE Foundation)?

The Joseph William Yee Eu Foundation is principally a charity foundation established in 1994 by the District Grand Lodge of the Eastern Archipelago, in honour of Joseph William Yee Eu on the occasion of his 20th anniversary as the District Grand Master.

It was subsequently incorporated as a charity trust foundation under the Trustees (Incorporation) Act 1952 in 2010.

The Foundation provides scholarships and other assistance to needy and deserving students to advance their education in universities, colleges, schools in Malaysia.

Who are eligible?

All Malaysians regardless of race, creed or religion are eligible to apply for assistance from the Foundation.

Who manages it?

The Foundation is managed by a Board of Trustees with a Chairman, all of whom, Masonic as well as Independent Trustees, are appointed by the District Grand Master of the District Grand Lodge of the Eastern Archipelago.

What are its sources of Funds?

The funds of the Foundation are from voluntary contributions of the Lodges in the District, from Fundraising events carried out by the Board of Trustees and from well-wishers.
